and skate in heaven.referring to the victim's love of skateboarding. police say scott hickerson was on his skateboard as he crossed the sidewalk right over there.at around 4:30 friday evening. he was in that crosswalk when he was hit by a suv driven by a 21 year old clayton woman traveling eastbound on monument blvd. the victim landed here in the intersection. he was transported to john muir hospital where he died of his injuries. police are still talking to witnesses and are trying to determine who had the green light. although i spoke with a witness who did not want to appear on camera who says the driver ran the red light. police say the driver is cooperating and has not been charged with any crime at this point. they say there were no obvious signs that she was under the influence of drugs of alcohol although they are running testsand there is no evidence to suggest she was talking or texting on a cell phone. they say at this point it appears to be a tragic accident. maureen kelly kron4 news. >>pam: >>jacqueline: it was a gorgeous day.
